The hotel is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, ideal for relaxation. The rooms, while spacious and comfortable, could use a bit more personal touch in the decor. The service was mostly pleasant and helpful, although there were some rude interactions reported. Overall, a lovely place with a few potential improvements.

What a gem of a find! The four-poster bed, jacuzzi, and overall luxurious atmosphere made us feel absolutely pampered. However, the room was tiny and accessed via steep stairs that caught us off guard. Despite these minor setbacks, most aspects of our stay left us in awe.

Rooms
8.0
The room was a delightful surprise with the luxurious amenities provided, although on the smaller side and accessed via steep stairs. Still, the overall experience was impressive.
Service
9.0
The service was exceptional, especially after a small room issue. One staff member went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even creating a dairy-free dessert from scratch. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup with another staff member being rude and unaccommodating.
Location
9.0
The location was fabulous, offering a peaceful escape and stunning surroundings. The village of Dalston nearby and proximity to Carlisle racecourse added to the appeal, even though a second staff member during busy times would have been beneficial.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was enjoyable, especially if you prefer a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. However, there were delays in service, which slightly affected the overall experience.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were adequate, although the absence of food despite advertising and high prices for certain extras were a downside.

My stay at the hotel was simply stunning with fantastic charm and personality. If they add flowers and plants, it would be perfect. We felt cosseted with our every possible need considered and delivered on, set in a beautiful location. The experience was truly special. The only downside was the cold and unhelpful service we encountered, which was disappointing.

The service staff are welcoming and friendly, watching me struggle with baggage and being first class. However, some encounters were cold and unhelpful, not living up to our expectations.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, offering stunning and peaceful surroundings. It's a great place to escape and relax, with lovely nearby villages to explore.
Dining

The dining experience was nice overall, with well-cooked dishes of good quality. However, being asked to pay a supplement for certain items felt a bit off. It was somewhat expensive, so we decided to skip it.

The facilities were good, though there were some areas where improvements could be made.
